Kyougoku Chihaya Wants to Be Your "One and Only"
京極千早はあなたの"本命"になりたい [こぐまクッキー] （Unofficial title translation）
Reviewers repeatedly describe an emotional whiplash from the character's initial mocking cruelty to genuine, unglamorous care — cooking for the heroine, walking her to safety — framing that shift as the story's real hook rather than a flaw. A late confrontation track is singled out by nearly every reviewer as the emotional peak, where his anger gives way to raw, pleading honesty about his real feelings.

What reviewers loved
- Reviewers repeatedly describe an emotional whiplash from the character's initial mocking cruelty to genuine, unglamorous care — cooking for the heroine, walking her to safety — framing that shift as the story's real hook rather than a flaw.
- A late confrontation track is singled out by nearly every reviewer as the emotional peak, where his anger gives way to raw, pleading honesty about his real feelings.
- Several reviewers specifically recommend listening along with the printed script, saying small reactions and unspoken beats only land once you can read what's happening alongside the audio.
- The kissing throughout is called out repeatedly as unusually wet and intense, with more than one reviewer commenting on the sound design specifically for it.
Good to know before buying
- One reviewer notes the male lead's handling of the late confrontation could arguably have gone differently, though they enjoyed the scene as written regardless.
Reviewers describe this as an emotional whiplash story — a mocking, seemingly cruel love interest whose small acts of unglamorous care gradually reveal real feelings, building to a raw confrontation track that's repeatedly cited as the emotional peak. It's recommended as a script-along listen for catching the quieter beats between the two leads.
